Log.design, an interior design studio in Tokyo, Japan,
attempts to explore what is born out of spaces according to the Japanese concept of “Ma(間)”.

“Ma” is the space between things, and refers to nothingness or the absence of things,
and the Japanese have traditionally found beauty in this concept.

In the Japanese art of flower arrangements, for example,
single flowers are sometimes arranged to leave a blank space to
consider how the flowers affect the space rather than the flowers themselves.

Following the notion of “Ma”, we focus on maximizing the potential of spaces,
striving for beauty and functionality that is both contemporary and timeless.

While being attentive to the needs of our clients,
using various techniques we aim to create designs that are not merely decorative
but that enhance the aesthetic value of the interior design field.
